Tony Jimenez is living the “American Dream.” His personal story is as dynamic and inspiring as his achievements. Born in Virginia into a family of modest means, his incredible drive, work ethic, love of technology, and desire to make a contribution to society, have all led to his recognition as one of the top leaders in the technology industry and one of the most influential Hispanics in the nation.

Jimenez is the award-winning founder, president and CEO of MicroTech, a verified service-disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB), His company is an industry leading prime contractor on more than 100 federal projects and holds more than 25 procurement vehicles, offering access to 2500 vendors and over a million technology products and services. The nationally recognized company is also certified by the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC). MicroTech expertly provides telecom solutions  and integration, technology services, cloud computing, network systems integration, unified communications and collaboration, products and managed service solutions, big data management and financial services, as well as leadership and management skills courses, business simulations and vital industry certifications as part of MicroTech University, to commercial enterprises, as well as the public sector — managing over half-a-million tech users daily.

As a Retired Army Officer and a service-disabled veteran with more than 24 years of active military service, Jimenez has vast experience in information technology, strategic planning, enterprise transformation and acquisition management. He is a decorated combat veteran and has served in theaters of combat operations including tours in the Middle East, Central America, and  Africa. As a government program manager, Jimenez guided the DoD’s efforts to solve complex and critical platform transformation challenges facing a number of government organizations. He has an extensive background in project management, large-scale IT systems implementation, IT infrastructure, enterprise business re-engineering and systems integration.

Under his leadership, MicroTech has been awarded the distinguished Excellence in Partnership (EIP) Award as General Service Administration’s (GSA) “Most Successful Newcomer” by the Coalition for Government Procurement, the Top 100 Minority Business Enterprise Award (MBE 100), the U.S. Chamber of Commerce “Blue Ribbon Small Business” Award, the “Top 25 Disabled Veteran-Owned Business” Award, the U.S. Department of the Army – “Featured Small Business,” and the U.S. Department of Transportation – “Small Business Success Story.”
